P.O.D. signifie Payable On Death. Ce groupe à la fois rap, punk et métal se crée en 1992 à San Diego. Mené par le chanteur Sonny Sandoval, le groupe sort d'abord trois albums pour le label Rescue Records ("Brown", "Snuff the punk" et "Live") avant de signer chez Atlantic en 1998. P.O.D. enregistre le maxi Warriors puis l'album Fundamental elements of southtown |
