Brad Renfro was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, both the home of the Tennessee Volunteers and me! Knoxville is one of the largest cities in Tennessee, and it's very well known around the area that Brad, or as we called him, "The Guy from The Client," is from Knoxville. Brad was born July 25, 1982, and lived with his grandparents as his parents were already divorced.

Brad's big break came in 1994, which had him starring opposite Susan Sarandon in the screen adaptation of 'The Client' by John Grisham. It was a very high-profile debut, and literally threw him into the spotlight. He remains close with co-star Susan Sarandon, whom he refers to as a second mother. He's also close with Susan's daughter, Eva, and when Eva was a little down because she had to get braces, he hopped on a plane to LA to cheer her up!

In addition to being an actor, Brad is a great musician. In fact, due to his huge popularity in Japan, and his musical talents, he was offered a contract to record music in Japan. Luckily for us film fans, he turned it down. His musical idols are Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, and Elvis. He likes to act like Elvis. On an interview he opened
is hat and bowed like Elvis and he didn't forget to say," thank you very much" with Elvis's accent.

On June 3,1998, Brad was caught by Knoxville police because he used drugs with his cousins. Being bailed out of jail by his grandmother, however, put an entirely different spin on the situation for him. And he hasn't been into it since. After the arrest he has not used drugs, which he credits to his family.

Brad has a horde of films lined up for the new millenium, so we should be seeing a lot of
