Brooke Langton was born in a copper-mining town in Arizona on November 27, 1970. Her father, whom she describes as a "poetic, foul-mouthed geologist," and her mother divorced when she was young, and she moved around with her mother, first to Illinois, then to Euless, Texas, where she grew up.
