Biography

"This band of Seattle, considered one of most important and charismatic of the American rock, formed in the middle of the ' 80 and their members have been changing. At the moment the group forms Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready and Stone Gossard (guitars), Jeff Ament (under) and Matt Cameron (battery).
Next to other bands of rock, like Nirvana and Sound Garden, they initiate in its city the Grunge movement that became a musical phenomenon in the United States.
With ""Ten"", their album of 1991, began to position itself as one from the groups of more representative Rock of the new American sound and disc it got to be in the N°2 of the Billboards magazine. This album was a true commercial event and for the specialized critic he is one of best discs of the decade. This work contained an emblematic song of the band, ""Jeremy"", that is a well obtained intimist sample and of the search by a deep and melancholic sound.
And this also can be appreciated in its disc of 1993 titleholder ""versus"", who as much obtained praises of the public as of the critic and with which arrived at the N°1 of North American the Billboards Magazine and almost all charts.
The following year Vitalogy ""and in 1996"" nonCode ""arrived"". With both works they were come off the characteristic sound that they had had in its previous works and the force of the guitars and the torn voice of Vedder seized of its compositions.
In year 2000 they initiated one of the tours more extensive than it has made a band of Rock; in this series of presentations they almost included shows in the totality of the European countries and in the great cities of North America.
And in the 2002 they send ""Riot Act"", a disc of study, made up and produced of the members of the group and that was not the same successful of previous works."
