Biography

Luciano Cassin, another Argentinean sensation that has broken into the international modeling business, is shocking the fashion world with his exotic beauty and charisma. Having striking resemblance to his idol and fellow Argentinean model, Ivan de Pineda, Luciano has established his own name in the business, and is considered to be one of the top male models worldwide.

Luciano was discovered in 1999 at the age of sixteen, while he was still busy studying in high school. Out of his curiosity, Luciano auditioned for casting of a TV commercial in Argentina. Pancho Dotto, the founder and the owner of Dotto Models, one of the most prestigious modeling agencies in Argentina, happened to be there to scout for new talents. Luciano's good looks and the personality that is full of energy didn't pass the eyes of Pancho Dotto, and was introduced to his agency. A year later, Luciano officially started modeling at his young age of seventeen.

His journey began in a little unconventional way by entering the world of the international fashion through Asia. China, Singapore and Hong Kong were Luciano's initial destinations. His success in Asia, at the same time the huge impact of Ivan de Pineda in the European market, raised the interest of designers in the new Argentinean kid. Not surprisingly, Luciano became a favorite of numerous designers instantly, and did fashion shows for such famous designers as Valentino, Tom Ford and Steven Meisel from Milan, Paris to New York. His popularity has reached supermodel status after he had been selected exclusively for the YSL print campaign.

Luciano's international exposure has made him a celebrity not only in his home country, also many other South American nations. He is always booked up for various fashion shows or catalogue photo shoots in Buenos Aires, Chile, Madrid and Peru, and pressed for interviews for magazines both locally and internationally. In April 2002, he hosted an important event called "Premios Tijera de Plata 2001", where Luciano was also appointed as "Best Male Model 2001" by the Camara Argentina de la Moda (a prestigious board comprised of the most prominent editors, fashion producers, makeup artists, and photographers in Argentina).

Luciano's modeling experience has offered him the opportunity to see the world, but the hardest part was to leave his family and friends while traveling abroad. At the same time, he sees the pitfalls of modeling business and the cruelty of short-lived modeling career that applies to everyone. While he's at it, he wants to take advantage of every opportunity and treats all the work with pure enthusiasm and professionalism.

Luciano believes that his success at such a young age is due to a combination of good luck, of being surrounded by skillful and trustworthy people, and to be at the right place at the right time. He is currently attending the University in Buenos Aires, juggling between his class schedules and modeling schedules. Luciano likes to swim and play soccer to stay in shape in his spare time. In terms of diet, he is certainly blessed with not having to worry about the specific meal type, but he prefers to eat natural and healthy foods.
