Leif Stacey
| Biography |
Leif Stacey is a stunning blonde hair, blue eyed bomber that hails from the wilderness of Alaska. As one of the top male models, Leif has been photographed by Bruce Weber for Abercrombie & Fitch and Polo Ralph Lauren, and been featured in campaigns of Izod, Canali and Saks Fifth Avenue. The once shy kid who had a hard time talking to people has broken out of his shell and made a big splash in the fashion industry.
Born and raised in Alaska, Leif grow up in an environment that dates a century ago. There was no electricity, tab water or access to television in his house. And not growing up around many other children left Leif painfully shy - he did not have a girl friend until he went to college. Instead, Leif focused on sports, wrestling, football, track and baseball.
Leif went to the University of Colorado at Boulder, studying engineering. In his freshmen year, Leif spent his spring break in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. A photographer approached him on Bourbon Street about modeling. Leif found it impossible to believe that he was a modeling material in the first, but he later invited the photographer to Alaska to photograph him. However, his relationship with the photographer was terminated shortly after the shoot, because Leif found him to be untrustworthy.
Next, Leif tested his luck with a couple of websites, which cost him hundreds of dollars but no real promises. When Leif decided to give up on modeling and went to Australia for a student exchange program, phone rang from a booker in Miami, who was looking for talents for A&F. He arranged Leif with a modeling agency in Sydney, which led to some modeling works for FHM, the magazine cover of Ion and a catalog shoot.
Upon his return to the U.S., Leif was signed by the New York agency Major Models (no longer). Soon, he was working for Ralph Lauren and photographed by some of the world's top photographer. Leif was once called a “Pretty Boy” by his friends back in high school, because of his soft feminine features. But the photos from the Ralph Lauren campaigns showed the rugged and masculine side of him. The versatility along with his humble nature is going to keep Leif in the modeling business for a very long time.
