Jonny Peter Wilkinson was born on 25/5/79 in Surrey, and was inspired to play rugby by his father Phil, who himself played rugby from the age of 18 to 40. Jonny was always sporty, he played both tennis and cricket for the Hampshire schools he attended before being chosen by the England rugby
