Donovan Mcnabb
| Biography |
Donovan Jamal McNabb was born on November 25, 1976, in Dolton, Illinois. McNabb and his older brother Sean were raised by their parents, Samuel and Wilma McNabb. It was in Dolton that McNabb developed a strong work ethic, a sense of humility, and a desire to be the best. His father Samuel (an electrical engineer) was the planner and critic of the household, while his mother Wilma (a registered nurse) always added a dose of humor.
It was while attending Mount Carmel High School in Southern Chicago that McNabb was selected as a Prep All-American standout in football, as well as Chicago Defender News' Player of the Year. Also, while attending his all-male Catholic high school, McNabb was a two-time all-area pick in basketball. One of his football teammates at Mount Carmel was Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowl Defensive Lineman, Simeon Rice. And while playing basketball at Mount Carmel, McNabb played alongside Boston Celtics All-Star forward, Antoine Walker.
