Biography
Steve Zahn is one of Hollywood's primo comedians, and when given the opportunity, steals the show from some of the big wigs (George Clooney in Out of Sight, Ben Affeck in Forces of Nature, et. al).

Steve started out humbly in good old Minnesota. His father, a Lutheran minister, probably would cringe at some of Zahn's jokes. It was during high school that Steve first discovered theatre; he was always on call anytime an improvisational show was in the works.

Steve's first professional gigs were in theatre. He won the lead role in "Biloxi Blues", a Minnesota production. The job struck a chord with Zahn, who packed up his things and headed to Cambridge, where he trained at the American Repertory Theatre. After he'd honed his skills long enough, he once again packed up and headed to the Big Apple. He grabbed a couple of high profile roles, and was therein noticed by funnyman Ben Stiller, who cast him in his picture Reality Bites.

From there it was pretty much downhill. Zahn then grabbed a role in Suburbia, and stole the show. That Thing You Do!, the Tom Hanks' vehicle, placed Zahn in the limelight and he shone brightly. Out of Sight truly showcased Steve's powers, as he was placed in the middle of an all-star cast (Jennifer Lopez, Ving Rhames, Albert Brooks, Clooney) and yet managed to steal the show.

The role gained him enough respect that he was given the starring role of his next film, Happy, Texas. For whatever reason, the film didn't make a huge splash at the box office, but critics across the bar loved it. Steve's performance as a con-man pretending to be gay to hide out from the law was brilliant.

Off the screen, Zahn is happily married to Robyn Peterman, an actress whom he met on a touring production of "Bye, Bye Birdie". The two had a son, Henry James, born April 3, 2000.
