Ryan Merriman

began his career doing commercials, print work, vocal performances, and local theater in Oklahoma. At nineteen, he has already developed an extensive list of film and television credits which have enabled him to work with some of Hollywood's most respected actors.
Ryan just returned from Montreal, where he filmed the pilot for the new ABC series, Veritas, which follows a father and son archeological team as they travel around the globe. Prior to that, Ryan was in Australia working on A Ring of Endless Light for the Disney Channel. The film co-stars Mischa Barton and James Whitmore and is scheduled to air on August 23rd.
Ryan has starred in several television films including Lifetime's Dangerous Child, Rocket's Red Glare, Luck of the Irish, Smart House, Hallmark's Night Ride Home, Lansky, Everything That Rises, and the upcoming Taken, on the Sci-Fi Channel produced by Steven Spielberg. In addition, he has starred in two feature films, Deep End of the Ocean, with Michelle Pfeiffer and Just Looking, directed by Jason Alexander.
Ryan played the recurring role of Young Jarod on the NBC hit series The Pretender, which ran for four successful seasons on NBC. He was also a series regular on the NBC television sitcom, The Mommies.
Merriman has received seven nominations for a Young Artist Award of Hollywood, winning five times. In addition, he has been nominated five times for a Hollywood Reporter Young Star Award.
When not on location, Merriman is still proud to call Oklahoma home.
