Proving conclusively that there is life after Horshack, Ron Palillo is a coveted actor and director in regional theatres throughout the country where he has performed such roles as Mozart in AMADEUS, for which he received the coveted “Clevie” award; Vito in P.S. YOUR CAT IS DEAD (Dramalogue Award) as well as RICHARD III; Nathan Detroit in GUYS & DOLLS; Gary in I HATE HAMLET; Mr. Juno in Shaw’s OVERRULED for the NY Dramaleague; as TRUMAN CAPOTE and also Fagan in OLIVER. Ron Palillo appeared in the original company of HOT L BALTIMORE and won the Ford Foundation Grant for directing SPOON RIVER ANTHOLOGY. He teaches at the University of Connecticut and at New Jersey’s Circle Theatre where he was recently heralded for his stunning portrayal of George in WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLFE? Summer of ’97 found Ron Palillo in beautiful Pepin, Wisconsin where he fulfilled a childhood dream, playing Moonface Martin in the Lake Pepin Players’ production of ANYTHING GOES. The summer of ’98 brought Ron back to Pepin, Wisconsin for a delightful production of THE FOURPOSTER by Jan deHartog. Lake Pepin Players’ 2000 season hosted Ron in three shows after a two-year absence. He was featured in the supporting role of Axel in THE NERD; starring in a production of BLITHE SPIRIT playing the lead role of Charles and then his stay concluded playing Mortimer in ARSENIC AND OLD LACE. Two years ago, he was Artistic Director of The Clematis Street Theatre in West Palm Beach, Florida where he directed and starred in A CLOSER WALK WITH PATSY CLINE which ran 7 months and a highly successful PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, scheduled for New York in the near future. Ron Palillo's second children’s book, A GIFT FOR THE CONTESSA, was recently released by Pelican Publishing. Ron Palillo recently received critical acclaim in the Off-Broadway one-man play based on the life of Adolph Eichman.
