Between those first two films, Macchio played on the TV comedy/drama "Eight Is Enough" as Jeremy Andretti from 1980 to 1981. He made his Broadway debut starring with Robert DeNiro in a sold-out engagement of "Cuba and his Teddy Bear." He recently finished traveling in the production of "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying."
