Paul Henreid
| Biography |
Paul George Julius von Henreid, Paul Hernreid Ritter von Wasel-Waldingau
Although his career was long and impressive, his two most famous films were both made in 1942: Casablanca, as Ingrid Bergman's other love interest, freedom fighter Victor Laszlo, and Now, Voyager, as Bette Davis shipboard romance Jerry Durrance, the man who always lights two cigarettes. He started his theatrical career with the great director Max Reinhardt after Otto Preminger recommended him. He continued his film acting career until 1977's Exorcist II: The Heretic, although he also directed many films for the big screen and television, including Dead Ringer (1964), with his former costar Bette Davis. ~ All Movie Guide
