Biography

Full name: Michael Garrett Shanks.
Date of birth: 15 December 1970
Place of birth: Kamloops, BC, Canada
Place of residence: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Commutes to LA to spend time with his oldest daughter, Tatiana.
Height: 6ft (and he really is)
Eyes: Two. Blue. Has a habit of making Direct Eye Contact which results in breathing difficulties and heart flutters. Although the Authorities have been alerted, they haven't yet been listed as Lethal Weapons.
Hair: Light brown. He likes it short.
Distinguishing marks: mole on left cheek (yes, his face). Appendectomy scar.
Facial Hair: Currently none apart from the occasional appearance of stubble. We don't discuss the 'hamster' he was sporting on his chin for his film, Sumuru. The hamster is retired. The film screencaps live on.
Family details: The youngest of two brothers (no, I've no idea if the older brother looks like him or his marital status but is it likely that much yumminess could happen twice in one family?). Two daughters, Tatiana (b 1998, mother Vaitiare Bandera - she played Sha're in Stargate SG-1) and Mia Tabitha (b September 2004, mother Lexa Doig)
Married: Yes. The adorable Lexa Doig (2 August 2003) of Andromeda and The New Professionals. They met while Michael was filming an Andromeda episode, Star-Crossed (Lexa played Andromeda, an android who falls in love with guest star Michael's android, Gabriel. Sweet, huh? Nude photos don't exist unless you count the carefully positioned 'nude Daniel' shots in Stargate SG-1's season 7 episode Fallen. If there's a nude shot out there it's probably a manip. I know some of you are looking... ;-)
