Biography
Michael Clarke Duncan was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance opposite Tom Hanks in "Green Mile, The (1999). " He re-teamed with his "Armageddon (1998)" co-star Bruce Willis in the comedy "Whole Nine Yards, The (2000) and will next be seen starring with Mark Wahlberg in Tim Burton's "Planet Of The Apes (2001). " He also stars in the upcoming Showtime original film "They Call Me Sir ," and will soon begin production starring opposite The Rock in the action picture "Scorpion King, The (2001). "Born and raised in Chicago, Duncan studied communications at Alcorn State University in Mississippi. After a stint in security for a travelling theatrical show, he worked in commercials before making his feature film debut in F. Gary Gray's comedy "Friday (1995). "
Duncan's additional feature credits include "Bulworth (1998)," "Player's Club, The {1998)" and "Night at the Roxbury, A (1998). " On television, he has appeared on "The Jamie Foxx Show," "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air," "Weird Science," "Married With Children," "The Wayans Brothers" and "The Bold and the Beautiful. "
