One of Japan's hottest young actors in Masanobu Ando. A vertean in TV and films, Masanobu made his film debut with a short part in Rex: A Dinosaur's Story. However, it was 1996's Kids Return, where he was given the Best New Actor Award at the Film Academy of Japan that year. Ando would go on to star in mainly TV series for the next few years, but returned to films in 1999 and he hasn't slowed down since. Many fans will remember Ando as the insane gun toting maniac Kazuo Kiriyama in the movie version of Battle Royale. Today, he continues success as an actor in films. |
