John Belushi
| Biography |
Bearish, maniacal comic actor and star of NBC's "Saturday Night Live" who wreaked memorable havoc in the 1978 collegiate romp "Animal House". On several occasions during his all-too-brief film career, Belushi teamed up with fellow "Saturday Night" alumnus Dan Aykroyd, notably as "The Blues Brothers" (1980).
Belushi's high-octane life--and death, aged 33, from a drug overdose--was the subject of a controversial 1989 biopic, "Wired," based on the book by Robert Woodward. Brother is actor James Belushi. |
