Jake Thomas
| Biography |
Jake Thomas was born in Knoxville Tennessee, and played the role of "Matt McGuire" on the
Disney series, Lizzie McGuire. Some of his other roles included young Hugh Hefner in
the 1999 made for tv movie Hefner: Unauthorized, and Young Carl Stargher in the 2000
theatrical movie The Cell.
Jake had a role in one of 2001's most anticiapted movies,Steven Spielberg's A.I.
for which he won a Young Artist Award as best supporting young actor, he was Nominated
for a 2001 Young Artist Award also in the category, Best Performance by a Young actor for
his role in The Cell.
On tv apart from his series role in Lizzie McGuire from 2001 to 2004 he has made guest
appearances on several shows including 3rd Rock from the Sun and Touched by an Angel.
His other step into a tv series was in the 2003 debut of Sixteen to Life playing Mike.
He also appeared in the made for television movie Cousin Eddie's Christmas Vacation.
Other feature film roles includes his "Matt McGuire" role for big screen version of the
Disney series The Lizzie McGuire Movie and that of "Zach Connolly" in the Comedy
Soccer Dog: European Cup and "Michael Banning" in DinoCroc.
Jake is currently filming Trick or Treat about a teenage boy who is grounded on Halloween
and forced to baby-sit his brother and sister discovers, along with his siblings, that his
house is haunted, it is set for a 2006 release.

He has a brother, a sister, two dogs and a frog. Oops, the frog escaped!
