Grayson Mccouch
| Biography |
Born in New York City, Grayson McCouch and sister Hannah (a novelist) were raised in the city's northern suburbs, by their banker father and a "tough" mom who served in the Israeli Army. His first love was horses, but as a self-described childhood "deviant," McCouch was sent to Connecticut boarding school, where he started doing summer theater. In addition to earning his Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree in Theater from Hamilton College, he studied at the British American Drama Academy through the Oxford-Yale program, and also spent four seasons with the prestigious Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts. Since getting his TV start on a show called SIBS that wasn't picked up, the eccentric, hard-working actor has shown true versatility. With steady roles in theater, prime-time, and film, he's experienced the spectrum of the entertainment industry and plenty of wild stories — from being in the passenger seat when Ben Affleck nearly crashed Bruce Willis's sports car while working on Armageddon in Florida to living a life of excess for years in L.A. He now resides in New York City, where he recently founded Graystone Studios, which features acting classes, seminars and other resources for actors. |
