Gordon Scott was born Gordon M. Werschkul on August 3, 1927 in Portland, Oregon. He was the youngest of nine children , all of whom emulated their father, who was a strong man and all-around athlete. The elder Werschkul taught Gordon and his brothers and sisters the secrets of physical fitness
