Chris Klein
| Biography |
Hinsdale, Illinois is a busselling little town just outside Chicago. The town can now lay claim to one of Hollywood's busiest and brightest stars - Chris Klein. Chris made his big debut in the business in a role that placed him as an All-American male, a role not too far off from reality.
Chris was born in 1979 and spent his early years in Chicago. When he was 13, the family checked out and moved to the midwest, setting up camp in Millard, Nebraska.
Chris quickly moved into the role of "actor extraordinaire" at his high school, where he regularly grabbed lead roles. He played Tony in his high school's production of West Side Story. But he also could handle himself on the football field. The 6'1" star did double duty as quarterback and linebacker for his school. And while at high school, as luck would have it, Chris was discovered. Alexander Payne wasn't looking for Hollywood's next big thing - in fact, he was just trying to find a high school to film the script he'd just written ("Election"). He spotted Chris while checking out his high school, and signed him up for the film.
After that, the ball was rolling. Everyone one of Chris' roles have been major - and have had a decent splash at the box office and mixed critical reviews (thumbs way up for Election, but way down for Here On Earth).
Chris is known as a devout Christian, and is currently attending the Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. He's been linked to Katie Holmes, the beautiful star of Dawson's Creek. |
