Biography

Was born January 22. 1975 in Los Angeles, California, USA. His mother is Gisela Martine Zacher Getty, and his fathers name is Jean Paul Getty III. His mother is from Germany, and his parents met in Europe. Balthazar has a two year older sister, or rather a half sister, as his mother had a child from before she met Balthazars father. His parents divorced when Balthazar was a child, and his mother moved to Sanfransisco with him and his sister. He used to live with the actress Lala Zappa Sloatman when he was 16 years old. Currently he is married to Rosetta Millington. They have 3 children together, a son (Cassius Paul Getty), and two daughters.

In 1987 Getty was discovered by a talent scout, and got an audition for the movie based on the novel Lord Of The Flies. Almost instantly after finishing Lord Of The Flies, Balthazar was cast for a tole in the tv movie Turn Or The Screw. This was his debut on the small screen. He also starred in the movies Young Guns II and My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys in this period of his life. Since then he has appeared in several movies and tv roles. In 1994 Balthazar appeared in Oliver Stones Natural Born Killers. Alias, Pasadena and Charmed are some examples of the TV shows Balthazar has appeared in.

During the mid 90's he suffered from a serious addiction to heroin. In 1998 he barely avoided arrest, and then he decided to pull his life back together. In 2000 he was recovered from his drugabuse, and began to work steadily again. In 2001 he appeared in the independent films The Center of the World, MacArthur Park, and Four Dogs Playing Poker". Balthazar was both the star and the executive producer of Shadow Hours.

Balthazar is not only an actor, but also a recording artist and a producer. He produced 9 tracks on the hip hop band Mannish album Audio Sedative in 1996. In 2004 Scott Thomas and himself (Ringside) released their first record. Balthazar can also put "model" on his resumè, as he in his career has modeled for Versace, Calvin Klein & Tommy Hilfiger.

While not working, Balthazar enjoyes Boxing, music, golfing, hockey and rock climbing.
