| Biography |
Born in the Bronx and raised in Brooklyn, Angie Martinez fell in love with hip-hop at an early stage in her teenage life. Music had always been an inspiration to Angie considering her mother made a living as a program director for a jazz radio station.
She introduced her daughter to the world of music, even though at the time, Angie had a foul distaste for the seemingly bland sounds of radio. She was a hip-hop junkie from the moment of its incarnation and has been loyal to the game ever since. |
