Tarina Young
| Biography |
Tarina Young first met Elite scout Elmer Olsen in March of 1996. At that time Tarina was a full time student living on a small island (with a population of 1500 people) called St. Joseph in the channel of lake Huron. Tarina had ideas of becoming a model , but she could never have imagined the speed that she would achieve this goal.
After signing with Elite Model Management she was booked for a beauty shoot with Flare Magazine. Then a Polaroid of Tarina was sent to Elite Headquarters in New York City. Elite Chairman John Casablancas saw Tarina's potential and flew her and her family to New York. Upon her arrival in New York she was introduced to the agency of the supermodels, Linda Evangelista, Amber Valletta, Stella Tennant, Kirsty Hume, Nadja Auermann, Tatjana Patitz, and Karen Mulder to name a few.
Tarina entered the 1996 Elite Model look contest and won the Canadian Finals. By September of 1996 she was off to Nice representing Canada in the Elite Model Look World Finals where she placed in the top ten worldwide.
