Biography
Kelly is a musician who loves to perform historical, traditional and Celtic music. She grew up playing a single strung folk harp, earned a Bachelors in music performance on the classical harp from the University of Georgia, and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in triple harp performance and traditional music history with the University of North Wales. She studied with some of the great harpists of the time and, as a result, took her first professional championship at the age of 16.

Kelly has performed on stage in many places beginning at an early age. Theatre Gael of Atlanta, America's only Shakespeare Tavern, The Atlanta Celtic Christmas Concert, The Celtic Revival Concerts in Augusta, GA and the Georgia Renaissance Festival are only a few venues where she is a regular performer. She was also recently featured on the Arts in Georgia program produced by GPTV and at the Gwyl Cerdd Dant Festival in North Wales, broadcast on BBC radio and television. She travels frequently between Wales and the States for music research and further training.

Kelly's specialty is Celtic music, her lilting soprano providing the English, Gaelic or Welsh lyrics to many of the traditional songs from Scotland, Ireland, Wales and the Isle of Man. She is equally at home with Classical or Baroque music, performed on period instruments.

She is also researching a project for the University of Wales Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies, teaching students of all ages, and has an active performance schedule. Her performance programs include both the traditional tunes and songs of Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and the Isle of Man -- singing in English, Gaelic, or Welsh is often included -- and Classical or Baroque music, all performed on period instruments.
