Biography
Jodie Marsh

In January 2006, Jodie Marsh entered Celebrity Big Brother. It was not a happy time for Jodie. Although she made a friend in Chantelle, this was overshadowed by her run-ins with Michael Barrymore and others and she ended up being the first person evicted from Celebrity Big Brother.

Biogs has a whole section devoted to Celebrity Big brother(see our left panel)

Reports vary as to when, Essex girl, Jodie Marsh was born, some saying 1979 and others 1980.

Jodie Marsh left school with 11 GCSEs (all A and B grades) and three A Levels. Her parents were wealthy but her school-days were unhappy where she was bullied after a hockey accident gave her an enlarged nose.

Jodie Marsh intended studying law at university, but instead she pursued a rather different path. Jodie first rose to to fame in TV's Essex Wives, and since then became a tabloid regular often pictured wearing risque clothing.

Before appearing in Channel 4's The Games, Jodie Marsh said:

"I'm very, very, very competitive in everything I do, I will be trying hard to beat everybody."

She is certainly competitive with Jordan, with whom she has had a long-standing public feud. Jodie Marsh didn't mince her words about Abi Titmuss either. She told the Sunday Telegraph Magazine:

"I'm glad she did Love Island because finally the world has seen how pig ugly she is ...She's got four chins and a beer gut and it's all airbrushed out of the pictures in the lads' mags."

On the Channel 4 website for The Games it describes a celebrity meet up:

"James [Hewitt] wasted no time in getting re-acquainted with Jodie. He grabbed the glamour puss in a tight embrace, enjoying a prolonged kiss. He then slapped her on the backside, to which Jodie rejoined: "Do that again!"

The publicity blurb for her book, released in March 2005, claims that Jodie Marsh:

"... recounts her days as a stripper and Page 3 model and dishes the sexy truth on her passionate affairs with a string of famous boyfriends - some never before publicly named!"

It seems with Jodie Marsh people either love her or hate her, In the Daily Record Joan Burnie stated:

" ... such is Marsh's self-delusion she can assure us that she, Jodie, is responsible for Christine Aguilera's new look.

"Oh yeah, Aguilera, who genuinely does have something to flaunt, including a singing voice, saw that picture of Jodie with the straps biting into her boobs, and said: "Yeah, sack the stylist and get me Jodie..."

"Does Marsh seriously believe Aguilera would be flattered to be mentioned in the same sentence as a former pole dancer?"

Whereas Heat Magazine's Omid Scobie said:

"Having Jodie on our front cover would probably sell more copies than Nicole Kidman, because she is more accessible. She's not that far removed from any one of us."

In Celebrity Big Brother, Jodie regularly referred to how hurt she was by insults hurled at her and pointed out that her mother and father hadn't read a newspaper for three years because of the harsh words written about her.

Jodie Marsh was orginally rejected as a Page 3 girl and has the rejection letter framed on her wall.

Jodie has visited Barbados so many times that she regards it as a second home and she enjoys jet-skiing and scuba-diving.
