Irene Pfeiffer Biography
Irene Pfeiffer, President of Moorgate Holdings, has her own consulting firm working with not-for-profit organizations in and around Alberta. Irene has held many senior positions in management consulting; planning, policy and development; and human resource management with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Shell Canada, Suncor, Mount Royal College and others.
Irene is on the Executive of the Council for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, the Rural Physicians Action Plan and the CRA’s Advisory Committee on End of Life Initiatives; a Member of the Board of UNICEF Canada and the Calgary Homeless Foundation. Irene also currently holds two government appointments through the Department of Finance, Government of Alberta.
She is also a licensed Lay Minister in the Anglican Church of Canada, serving two churches in rural Alberta and is a Strategic Consultant with The Mustard Se ed Street Ministry.
Among her many awards, Irene is the recipient of a YWCA Women of Distinction Award for women in business and the professions. She is also the recipient of the Rotary Club’s Paul Harris Award, the Woman of Vision Award and the Commemorative Medal for the Golden Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for community involvement. In 2004, she was awarded a life membership in the Calgary Chamber of Commerce for her work in the Chamber movement. |
