Belarus' Yuliya Nesterenko became the fastest woman to qualify for the women's 100 meters second round at the Olympic Games. Nesterenko, 60m bronze medalist at this year's world indoor championships in Budapest, clocked a personal best time of 10.94 seconds to lead the field of 63 sprinters. She was only the fifth person this season to run inside 11 seconds and her time was the second fastest this year. |
