Maurizia Cacciatori
| Biography |
Maurizia was born in Carrara on 6 April 1973 from parents, Franco (father) and Rita(mother). She has a brother, Manolo and a sister, Suzanna. She was doing gymnastic before change it to volleyball. This happened when she was 14 after a coach discovered her when she was practising artistic gymnastic on the beach. She choose number 7, her favourite number as her squad number both in her club and in national team. At 1.78 cm height, she becomes a good setter. In 1998 world cup championships in Japan, she was nominated as the best setter. With her current club she plays for, Foppapedretti Bergamo, she has won three Italian Championships, two Champions Cups, four Italian Cups and three Italian Supercups. She also won CEV Cup with Napoli Centro Ester, her previous club. With the national team, she had won 1999 European Championship Bronze Medal.
