Her professional tennis career started in 1996 when she reached the final of an ITF tournament in Greece.. Since then, she has been making solid and most importantly very constant progress on the WTA tour... When it was announced that the 2004 Olympic Games would be held in Athenes, the Greek instantly started to imagine how great it would be if Eleni could contend for a medal and what is great is that with the constant progress she is making, that seems quite possible..
