Vicki Zhao

is one of the most widely -recognized actresses in China. Zhao graduated from the prestigious and demanding Beijing Film Academy: They work you not only like a dog, she says, but like a dog in the military. She was plucked out of the Academy at age 21 to star in the hit TV series, Huan Zhu Ge Ge or My Fair Princess, a period drama that has millions glued to their television sets every week. Stephen Chow saw Zhao on the series and approached her directly for the part in Shaolin Soccer.
A rising star in China, Zhao can be seen in Cory Yuen's upcoming So Close. Currently at work on her fifth album, Zhao is also an acclaimed singer who recently played to a crowd of 20,000 people in Vietnam. |
