Reiko Aylesworth
| Biography |
Reiko Aylesworth was born in Chicago, in the same hospital as her future ‘24' co-star and real-life husband, Carlos Bernard. When she was 13, her family moved to Seattle. Eventually, she attended the University of Washington.
Her first foray into acting came when she won an ABC talent search. She left college and moved to New York, where she appeared in ads for ‘Scope' and landed small television roles on shows such as ‘One Life To Live,' ‘The Dead Zone,' and ‘West Wing.'
In 2001, Reiko auditioned for the role of Nina Myers on '24,' but lost out to Sarah Clarke. The next season, she auditioned for the part of Kate Warner, the sister of bride-to-be Marie. The part went to Sarah Wynter. The producers remembered Reiko, however, and cast her in the role of Michelle Dessler, the tough-yet-sensitive CTU agent.
Now, Reiko has received Golden Globe nominations as well as critical and popular acclaim as part of a hit television show. Yes, sometimes Hollywood IS magic. |
