Gloria Stuart co-starred in James Cameron’s Oscar-winning Best Picture “Titanic,” the top-grossing film of
all time.
Stuart was honored with Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations and tied with Kim Basinger for
the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Rose, a survivor of the
legendary vessel’s ill-fated maiden voyage.
She was also featured in the recent DreamWorks film “The Love Letter” with Kate Capshaw, Tom Selleck
and Blythe Danner and “The Million Dollar Hotel” starring Mel Gibson.
Stuart’s career spans nearly seven decades and encompasses more than 60 film and television projects. She
made her film debut in 1932 in “Street of Women,” and includes among her other early film credits
“Roman Scandals,” “The Invisible Man” and “The Old Dark House,” both directed by James Whale, and
“Poor Little Rich Girl” and “Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm,” both opposite Shirley Temple.
In more recent years, she had roles in such films as “My Favorite Year” and “Mass Appeal,” as well as the
longform television projects “The Legend of Lizzie Borden,” “In the Glitter Palace,” “The Two Worlds of
