Ana Gasteyer

Ana Gasteyer (born May 4, 1967) is an a comedian who established herself as a cast member of Saturday Night Live.
She was born in Washington, DC and graduated from Sidwell Friends School and Northwestern University. She got her role on SNL due to her experience with The Groundlings.
Gasteyer created several well-known SNL characters during her time there, including middle school music teacher Bobbie Moughan-Culp (opposite Will Ferrell), NPR radio host Margaret Jo McCullen (opposite Molly Shannon), one of the Gemini's Twins (together with Maya Rudolph), Lilith Fair poetess Cinder Calhoun, as well as spot-on impressions of Martha Stewart, Celine Dion, Katherine Harris, and Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Ana was the first cast member to be pregnant while on the show. She left SNL in 2002, and since then has appeared in various television programs and films, including Mean Girls. |
