Matthew Settle was born on September 17, 1969 in Hickory, North Carolina. In 1983, his family movied to Sevierville, Tennessee when his father, a preacher, took a pastorate there. His parents still live there, and his father still pastors that church. When Matthew turned 19, he moved to New York
