Born on Saturday January 23rd 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas USA. The youngest of three sons (his brothers names are Frank and Joe). Gil's father Frank was a salesman and his mother Gladys a college instructor. Gil grew up in Little Rock and attended Arkansas State Teachers College (now called
